Easter Bunny Planters {DIY}

A quick, last-minute craft project for Good Friday!

I kept seeing that adorable moss bunny on a stick on Pinterest, and really wanted to make something with it. When I saw it go on sale for 25% off at Pier 1, I snagged 3 of them. After wandering around Michaels for awhile, I started to put together a plan in my head when I found a set of 3 wooden planters and tray.

I found the bunnies to be a little too tall and wobbly for my little planters, so used wire cutters to trim 2-3 inches off the bottom of each of the sticks. This also helped make the height of the hopping bunnies uniform.

Materials:

  1. 3 moss bunnies on a stick
  2. Bag of glass beads
  3. Bag of dried moss
  4. Wood planters
  5. Satin-finish acrylic paint

All other materials were purchased at Michaels. The whole project was about $25. Next, year I think I may dress up the planters a bit more with either ribbon or polka dots (or chevron stripes!).

The planters are now displayed next to my cute-y cute Amy Butler fabric eggs.

Have a very Happy Easter!
